Each kit contains two skeins of Malabrigo Washted. [100 grams (3.53 ounces) - Worsted - Single ply - 210 yards (192 meters) - 100% Superwash Merino - Machine washable, gente cycle, cold water, do not tumble.]
You will need to purchase the pattern separately.
SKILLS:
To knit this shawl, you need to know how to knit, purl, perform a garter tab cast-on, pick up stitches, yarn over, and make increases and decreases.
CONSTRUCTION:
This shawl is knit top-down, starting at the centre of the top border, with a garter tab cast-on, then growing to the sides and down, its final shape is a crescent.
SIZES:
One size.
NEEDLES:
4.5 mm (US 7) / 80 cm (32”) circular needles, or the required needle size to obtain gauge. Needles one size larger at least, for bind-off.
NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
YARN:
2 skeins Malabrigo Washted (100 % Superwash Merino Wool; 220 m / 100g; 240 yds / 3.52 oz).
Errata:
After repeating row 5 and 6 to 198 stitches, repeat row 5 one more time (as row 1 of the border)
After row 2 of the border, should have 204 stitches
Row 25: insert a “k5” between the ssk and k2tog in the repeat (to check placement, the first yo of each repeat continues the yarn overs from the previous rows, the second yo starts a new yo section).
