Class at beWoolen

Where can you find a list of our current classes?

We post our current class offerings in our weekly newsletter which we send out every Tuesday evening. All classes with available openings will be listed along with a general description and a link to additional information (if applicable). Once classes are filled, we will take them out of the newsletter, so be sure to write down dates and times. Sign up for our weekly newsletter on our site; scroll to the bottom of our home page and click subscribe.

Our class offerings include a range of knit, crochet, tunisian crochet, punch needle, workshops and help desk sessions at all skill levels. We can also make arrangements for private lessons. Please contact us for further details.

Virtual Classes are not currently offered at beWoolen. We enjoy in-person class experience here at the store and feel that students learn best with this approach.

To register for a class:

You are welcome to register online, in person, or call us at 763-205-0380 to register by phone. Payment for class is required at the time of registration to secure your spot in class.

Class materials: Yarn for class must be purchased from beWoolen. We offer students a 10% discount on all yarn purchased for class Please check the class description for a complete list of required materials and for homework (if applicable) to be completed prior to class.

Class Etiquette: Please give yourself plenty of time to acquire your materials prior to your class and have yarn wound before class is scheduled to begin. Classes begin promptly at their scheduled time and some of our classes may start when the store opens, or end when the store closes. We want everyone to get the most out of our classes, so please be aware that if you are running behind, we may not be able to cover as much material with you while still giving everyone else in your class the attention they deserve. All students must be 18 years of age to attend class, unless prior arrangements have been made for special circumstances.

Cancellations: Class participation must be canceled no less than two weeks prior to class in order to receive a class credit. If you do need to cancel, please email angel@bewoolen.com, michelle@bewoolen.com, or call us at 763-205-0380. If you do need to cancel before the start of class, consider gifting your class to a fellow stitcher. Just keep us informed so that we know who to expect for class.

Missed Classes:  Sorry, we do not offer make-up sessions for missed class. If you would like to make up for class that you will miss, we offer private lessons at $30/hour for a one on one.

Guest Artist Workshops: We do not offer class credits for classes with special guest instructors and artists. You may transfer your seat to a friend if you are unable to attend yourself.

Minimum Enrollment: 50% enrollment is required for class to meet; generally speaking, a full class is 6 students - details are in the class description. For classes to proceed, 3 students are required for the class to run. If a class is not 50% full by 10am on the day of the class, we will remove the class from the calendar, contact the person enrolled and issue a class credit, or offer to move you to a different class.

Class cancellations due to weather/phenomena beyond the control of beWoolen: While we make every effort not to close due to weather, we also want to be mindful not to put anyone's safety at risk in potentially hazardous conditions.  On the rare occasion that this happens, we will post revised shop hours on our homepage, and social media (Instagram and Facebook). If this closing will affect a class or workshop, we will contact anyone who has registered once we determine the class will be cancelled; to that end, please be sure to include your phone number (preferably cell phone, as we will text first).

For instances of class postponement, we will endeavor to reschedule class as soon as it is possible for us to do so safely. If you cannot wait for class to be rescheduled/have a reschedule conflict; we will issue a class credit.

Age:  To ensure an optimal class experience for all students, we request that students enrolled in our classes be 18 years of age or older. For parents and children wishing to learn together, we recommend private group lessons.

Skill Levels:  We teach classes for a wide range of abilities. Therefore, we will generally list the skills required for successful completion of each class, and teachers will assume that participants entering the class will be familiar with those techniques. If you have any questions, please contact us before registering for a class.

Don't see a Class listed that you or a group would like to take? Private and Group lessons are available; please contact us to discuss the options. We welcome class ideas.
