This class is best suited to those who have some Tunisian crochet experience: take the Learn to Tunisian Mug Rug Class if you are brand new to the world of Tunisian crochet.

Join Miss Michelle to expand your basic Tunisian Crochet skills with new techniques:
  • Tunisian Simple Stitch
  • Tunisian Front Post Extended Stitch
  • Increases
  • Reading from a chart
  • Changing colors for each row

The Meera Shawl combines stitch patterns together with increases - along with reading a chart. You will only be using one color for each row, but the outcome looks much more complicated! The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn - but you can choose any weight yarn (keeping in mind that you may need to adjust hook size base on yarn weight). The store sample is coming along nicely using beWoolen Pigments Sport and Edition 3. Choose yarns that have nice contrast for best results. 

Materials & Homework:
  • Purchase and print the Meera Mosaic Shawl pattern on Ravelry HERE
  • Fingering, sport, or light DK weight yarn:  Pigments Sport, Edition 3, Pigments Fingering , Cascade 220 Sport, etc! You will need about 460-500 yards of each color,
  • Hook: 5.0mm for lighter weight yarn, and larger size for sport or DK weight yarn, a 30 - 37" cord and stopper. You may find that a shorter cord  is nice to start out with on this project until the work is larger.

Please plan to purchase and wind your yarn prior to the first class to ensure you will have everything ready to go at our first session.
