Beginner - if you've NEVER knitted socks before, you will be learning to knit socks using 2 circular needles from the cuff-down.
Beginner Plus - so you've knitted vanilla socks. Here's a chance to bump up that sock pattern complexity. Learn slipped stitch/mosaic knitting in the round.
Supplies:
You will need 1 skein of fingering weight yarn. Suggested yarns are beWoolen Pigments, Malabrigo Ultimate Sock, Four Crows, Cascade Heritage, or Baah Footloose.
Find the Manarola Socks pattern on Ravelry HERE.
2.25mm needles. If you're a tight knitter, you may want to use 2.5mm. For beginners, bring 2 24" circular needles. For those who have knitted socks, you can do 2-circs, DPNs, 9" circular, or Magic Loop. Usual notions: stitch markers, darning needle, scissors.
Homework:
Please come with your yarn wound (if needed) and pattern printed or downloaded into your tablet. If you are knitting two at a time, split yarn into 2 cakes for both colors.
