The Luffe Mitten - around here, it's a classic! We love these mittens, and when you see them in person, you will too!

Luffe = warm double mittens for the whole family.
Maybe it looks like an ordinary mitten but it has something special - a unique thumb gusset that perfectly matches the anatomy of the hand.

These double stuff mittens are worked in Rowan Felted Tweed for the outer mitten and Malabrigo Finito for the inner mitten, a perfect pairing! Sized for children through adults, Miss Deb will walk you through all the steps to completing these beWoolen favorites....INCLUDING how to get them to fit just right with her finishing techniques.

Skill level beginner “plus” and up. Students should have knowledge of knitting with double point needles or magic loop method, increase, and decrease. 

Things we'll cover in class:

  • understanding the shaping for right and left mitten and lining as written in the pattern.
  • finishing techniques

Yarn ideas:

What You'll need:
Purchase and print a copy of the pattern, have your yarn purchased and wound if necessary, scissors, pencil and paper for notes, US3 & US4 in needles of your choice.

Class Homework:
Purchase and print your pattern or download it to a device for easy access.
Have your yarn purchased and wound, ready to go. Please bring the following notions: split markers, tape measure/gauge ruler, extra needle sizes in the event you need to adjust, yarn needle, fix it tool, scissors.
