This shawl carries you on a journey through the “Hotel of Bees,” inspired by Anthony Doerr’s All the Light We Cannot See. Once owned by a wealthy bee enthusiast, the hotel invites us to explore its charms: we step into the courtyard to admire the grand beehive-shaped fountain, climb the stairs to gaze at beautiful frescoes of child-sized bees, and finally unwind in a luxuriously crafted hexagonal bathtub.
To mirror this story, the Hotel of Bees Shawl is composed of the following sections:
• Wings
• Open honeycomb
• Bees
• Filet crochet (large and small hexagons, plus flowers)
