This is the third class in our learn to crochet series. Join Miss Jill for 6 hours of instruction to build upon and expand your crochet skills "toolbox". You will make a Kiara Scarf - a pattern by Deni Sharpe using a variety of colors in DK or worsted weight yarn.

Our store sample is shown in beWoolen DK mini sets in both Cola and Paper Dolls plus beWoolen DK main color in Macarons (2 skeins). You can mix and match colors to your hearts content on this addictive pattern.

If you have never crocheted, start with Learn to Crochet 1.0

Skills covered:

  • basic stitches as used in this pattern: ch, dc
  • granny square techniques and puff stitch
  • magic circle start
  • weaving in ends
  • changing colors
  • twisted fringe

Class materials: 

  • Pattern purchased & printed: Kiara Scarf by Deni Sharpe
  • Size H or I crochet hook, depending upon yarn weight
  • DK or worsted weight yarn in 5 or more colors; we used more yarn(1100 yards) than pattern indicated to reach our desired size; have at least 900 yards - 450yds main color and 450yds in contrast colors.
