Join Miss Jill to work this open front cardigan with pockets - an excellent layering sweater for all the seasons!
The Magnus Cardigan by Meghan Ballmer is perfect for all levels of crochet: from beginner to more experienced. The beauty of this sweater is in your yarn choices: we love the soft and fluffy yarn paired with a worsted weight contrast color! You'll be working this sweater bottom up, starting with the ribbing and then you will progress to block stitch for the body while alternating yarn. The fronts and back will all be crafted in one large piece, and the sleeves will then be created in the same manner: working from the ribbing to the top of the sleeve. After the pieces are completed, you will learn how to sew the sweater together, weave in the ends and add the pockets.
The store sample is made with beWoolen Pigments Cloud in Cloud Winter Carnival and beWoolen Pigments Worsted in Lake Superior - you can choose any worsted weight yarns that have some degree of contrast between colors to craft your version.
