Dec 15th Holiday Card Making Event: Spread Holiday Cheer to Seniors
Gather at beWoolen with your hostess Miss Sherie to help spread some holiday cheer and warm the hearts of those who need to be reminded that they matter. During the Holiday season, many Seniors are lonely; getting a Holiday Card can really make a difference.
Using old Christmas Cards, we will re-purpose them by adding embellishments to make a truly unique and beautiful work of Art, plus adding a little personal note inside may be a real Season brightener to someone in a Nursing Home.
Sherie will have a few examples for you to see, but we all know how creative and generous our community is, so we are certain we can make this event truly shine!
We will spend an afternoon and evening from 4-8pm making cards: even if you cannot come for the entire time, please come when you are able; leave when you must. Miss Sherie will distribute the cards to area nursing homes.
What will be provided: beWoolen Great Room from 4-8pm
Card stock & Envelopes
Holiday Stamps and Ink Pad
Embellishments like ribbons, rick rack, buttons & all sorts of doo-dads
Glue Guns, school glue
......Holiday treats will be served: hot apple cider & cookies.
What you should bring: A smiling face, your own personal sharp scissors for detailed paper cutting, craft glue if you have it + any fun embellishments you might like to use/share.
**The event fee we collect will be donated in full to Miss Sherie to cover supplies and add small treats to the cards distributed. Event registration helps us determine how many supplies we should have on hand. Thank You!
