Join Christine in picking a gnome from the newly released book: The Gnomes of Grimblewood. The book will be available after the release date of September 17th. (We'll have copies on hand at the store for students to purchase) There are 8 gnomes to choose from. Hats, bodies and beards are all interchangeable, so you can make your gnome very customized. This is a great time to make gnomes for gifts. Let's get gnoming!

What You'll Learn:

Students will refresh skills such as working in the round in a small circumference,            i-cord, picking up stitches, increases and decreases, optional cables and color work;  depending on patterns chosen from the book.

This is a class for a beginner+ knitter. Students must have already done a project or two on knitting in the round using DPNs, Magic Loop, or 2 Circulars.

Materials & Homework:

You'll need a copy of The Gnomes of Grimblewood Book, purchase and wind yarn - exact type and quantity will be dependent on pattern picked: you'll need fingering or DK weight in a few yarn colors (body, beard, hat, face/hands). Needles - dependent on yarn picked - fingering uses 1 and 1.5, DK uses sizes 4 and 5. Christine will be in contact with students once you've registered for the class to help you determine the amount of yarn you will need. Filling and beads will be available to students to use. Bring scissors, darning needle, stitch markers, etc.

Make sure yarn is wound, ready for cast on in class. Pick your pattern and be in contact with instructor so all supplies are ready - Christine will be in touch with you prior to your first class.

Please make sure your contact information is current in your profile: cell phone number as well as email; we'll need this information to contact you prior to your first class.

Please note: Yarn for class must be purchased from beWoolen. We offer students a 10% discount on all yarn purchased for class Please check the class description for a complete list of required materials and for homework (if applicable) to be completed prior to class.
