The tubular cast on is being used in many sweaters right now because it has such a clean, professional finish. Take your knitting to the next level with Susan’s favorite tubular cast on technique. It is ideal for 1x1 ribbing, brioche, and twisted rib. Susan will also show how it applies to 2x2 ribbing.

Materials Needed to Complete Sample

Smooth, DK to worsted weight yarn in light color
Needles of appropriate size for yarn and needles 1-2 sizes smaller (size for ribbing); scissors
Waste yarn in contrasting color that is strong and about the same weight as main yarn (cotton is great) – Susan will provide this if needed.
