Merino Baby wool is not "just" for baby! We’ve been looking for a fingering-weight yarn with a range of colors and an easy-on-the-wallet price that you can reach for time and again. Merino Baby by Pascuali fits the bill. Merino Baby is a 100% certified organic merino yarn with 240 yds/50g skein making it perfect for light fingering to fingering weight projects. With over 30 colors available, you're sure to find the perfect color for your project.
Baby Merino is machine washable but it’s not super wash! No toxic bleaches, dyes or other chemicals are used in the manufacturing process making it environmentally friendly. Your favorite Merino Baby knits can be cleaned in the washing machine using the “wool washing program”. Hang your garments or lay them flat to dry and they will come out looking as beautiful, soft and cozy as before!
Merino Baby is GOTS-certified. Through sustainable farming, woolgrowers are able to protect and regenerate the land, and care for the health and wellbeing of their sheep. The merino sheep that provide the wool graze freely, delivering a new fleece harvest twice a year. Merino Baby is mulesing-free. The wool is spun and dyed in Italy in a mill which uses traditional machinery and craftsmanship - which is also GOTS certified.
Merino wool has several characteristics that make it very popular:

- it is naturally light and soft,
- it is not scratchy and can be worn directly on the skin, and
- it is hypo-allergenic, making it the perfect choice for even the most sensitive skin.
- Merino Baby is machine washable! No, it is NOT superwash! We use an innovative biotechnological wool treatment to modify the scales of the wool. Because of its self-cleaning properties, airing your merino garment out after wearing it will usually do the trick. However, when needed, merino wool can be put in the washing machine using a wool cycle and cold water.
